Linda Fay (Wingo) Goatcher was born on September 20, 1940 in Woodward, OK to Darwin and Lucille (Long)Wingo. She passed from this life on March 20, 2026 at the age of 85 years and 6 months.
Cremation arrangements are entrusted to Bishop Funeral Service and Crematory.
A heartfelt memorial visitation will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, April 3, 2026, at Bishop Funeral Service and Crematory, where family and friends are invited to gather, share memories, and celebrate a life well lived.
Linda grew up on her parent's farm west of Fort Supply, OK. She was the oldest of eight children. She went to the Fort Supply Public Schools and graduated with the class of 1958.
On April 27, 1958 Linda was united in marriage to Ted Harvey. Two children were born to this union, Leslin Diane (Harvey) Swinford and Timothy David Harvey.
In 1979 Linda married Floyd Goatcher. 1990 they moved to McAlester, Oklahoma, living near Lake Eufaula, where they enjoyed boating and fishing with their grandchildren
Linda moved to Peachtree Village Assisted Living, at Fort Smith, Arkansas in late 2024. Where she passed away peacefully on March 20, 2026.
Linda is survived by her children Leslin and Mark Swinford of Gage, OK, Tim and Milda Harvey of Mulberry, AR. Grandchildren Jared Swinford of Gage, OK, Travis and Claudia Harvey of Royce City, TX, Sarah and Bernie Minjares of Alva, OK. Great-grandchildren, Jacob, Zach, Braxton, and Jackson Harvey. Kaylee (Cody) Richardson, Kimberlyn, Kylanne, Mason, Adrienne, and Rosalie Harvey. Alexis Swinford, Jordan (Kason)Laird, Kaleb, Jared, and Jaden Swinford. Dominic and A.J. Minjares. Great-great-grandchildren Oakley and Kasey Laird. Her brothers Darrel and Don Wingo of Kansas City, MO, brother-in-law Larry Pinion of Blanchard, OK, sister-in-law Katie Wingo of Fort Supply, OK, sister-in-law Lynda Goatcher, and sister LaDonna Roye of Naples, FL. Nieces Lori Wingo and Missy Vasquez of Bentonville, AR, and Shelly Johnson of Mutual, OK, and many friends and neighbors.
Linda was preceded in death by her parents Darwin and Lucille Wingo, husbands Ted Harvey and Floyd Goatcher, brothers Larry Wingo, Bill Wingo, and Mark Wingo, and sister Judy Pinion, grandson Justin Harvey and many aunt and uncles and cousins.
