Philip T. Givan
June 13, 1926 ~ December 29, 2017

MSG Philip T. Givan, U.S. Army (Ret.), age 91, of Cache passed away Friday, December 29, 2017 at Curahealth Hospital in Oklahoma City.

Philip was born on June 13, 1926 in Spring Lick, Kentucky to Carlos and Agnus (Thompson) Givan.

After high school, he enlisted in the United States Army where he proudly served his country for over twenty years. He served during WWII and the Korean War before retiring. While in the Army, Philip received numerous medals, awards and commendations, including a Bronze Star and Purple Heart.

On May 20, 1953, he married the love of his life, Connie L. Trest, in Lawton and they would spend the next sixty-four wonderful years together. Philip was a Master Mason of the Caneyville, Kentucky Masonic Lodge 635 and a founding member of the Masonic Chapter in Vassincourt (Meuse) France. Philip spent the last four decades living his dream cattle ranching.

Preceded in death by his parents, Carlos and Agnus Givan; four brothers, Jim Givan, S.L. Givan, Bill Givan and Bob Givan and two sisters, Dorothy Hooper and Freida Smith, Philip is survived by his daughter, Mary Nicosia and husband Salvatore of Cache; his son, Scott T. Givan and wife Dawn of La Grange, Texas and three grandchildren, Easton Cox, Daxton Givan and MaKenzie Givan along with numerous other relatives and close friends.
