Mary Margaret (Schill) Gipson

January 8, 1949 ~ December 26, 1992

Mass for Mary Margaret Gipson was conducted Wednesday at 10:00 a.m. in St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, Lucinda, Pennsylvania. Officiating was Father Joseph Staszewski.

Born January 8, 1949, in Brookeville, Pennsylvania, Mrs. Gipson died December 26, 1992, in the Love County Health Center, Marietta, at the age of 43. She was the daughter of Cletus and Gertrude McLaughlin Schill. Mrs. Gipson had lived in Thackerville for three years, moving there from California. She was a homemaker and of the Catholic belief.

Survivors include her husband, Rex Gipson of the home at Thackerville; her mother, Gertrude Schill of Lucinda; three step-sons, Gordon Gipson of the home, Gary Gipson, U.S. Navy, and Larry Gipson of Stafford, Virginia; a step-daughter, Tina Gipson of Gainesville, Texas; four brothers, Edward Schill of Coraopolis, Pennsylvania, Cletus Schill of Wichita Falls, Texas, John Schill of Lagrange, Ohio, and Joseph Schill of Shippenville, Pennsylvania; a sister, Betty Hanlin of Clarion, Pennsylvania; eight step-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

Burial was in St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Lucinda, under the direction of Faller Funeral Home, Fryburg, Pennsylvania. Local arrangements were directed by Anderson-Kennedy Funeral Home.
