Gregory Doyle Gillespie
April 21, 1955 ~ December 30, 2017

Greg D. Gillespie passed away Saturday, December 30, 2017. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, January 6, 2018 in the Walker-Brown Funeral Home Chapel. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Walker-Brown Funeral Home.

Gregory Doyle Gillespie was born April 21, 1955 in Odessa, TX to Nugent Doyle and Dorothy Jean (Evetts) Gillespie.

Greg was a hard worker, always willing to help anyone. He enjoyed working in the yard, sports, golf, and other outdoor activities. He loved 80's era music, dancing, and watching westerns on TV. He was witty, always had a smile on his face, had a zest for life and had great love for his family. This endeared him to all who knew him.

Greg is survived by Sharon Hinkle of the home, daughters; April Robbins of Cypress, TX, Crystal and husband Michael O'Grady of Burleson, TX. He was" Peepaw" to his six grandchildren: Joshua, Noah, Adyson, and Luke Robbins, Jackson and Presley O'Grady; "Geg" to his great granddaughter Carrington Stanton. He was a father figure to Hailey Patterson and Kelly Hinkle of the home. He is also survived by his sisters; Becky and husband Art Henley of Bartlesville, OK, Debbie and husband Paul Rhodes of Amarillo, TX. Greg will be missed by numerous nieces and nephews, as well as many friends.

Greg was preceded in death by his parents and infant daughter, Crystal Ann Gillespie.
