Cleo C. Gifford, 89, died Wednesday evening at a local hospital after a period of ill health.

Graveside services and burial will be 2 PM Monday at Edgewood Memorial Park Cemetery in Little Rock, Arkansas. Arrangements are by Ladusau – Evans Funeral Home.

The casket will be open until noon Sunday at the funeral home.

Mrs. Gifford was born March 10, 1896, in Tennessee. She had lived in Arkansas before moving to Oklahoma several years ago. She made her home with her daughter until entering a local nursing home.

She married Frank Skaggs. He preceded her in death. She later married Bill Gifford. He also preceded her in death.

Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. John (Bobbie) Moats, Enid, and Peggy Schuster, Elyria, Ohio; 10 grandchildren; 13 great – grandchildren; two great – great – grandchildren; and a sister, Ida Badgett, Bells, Tennessee.
