Paul H. Gibson

March 4, 1920 ~ July 7, 2011

Paul H. Gibson, longtime Cushing resident and retired carpenter, passed away Thursday morning, July 7, 2011 in the Southern Oaks Care Center in Pawnee at the age of 91 years.

The son of George F. Gibson and Minnie L. Phillips Gibson, Paul was one of 10 children and was born on March 4, 1920 in Oxford, AR.

He was united in marriage to Frances Johnston on July 30, 1949 and she preceded him in death on November 21, 1983.

Paul was a member of the First Christian Church.

He was a veteran of World War II, serving his Country in the United States Navy; was a member of the American Legion; he enjoyed fishing, dancing, playing dominoes and spending time with his family and friends.

Survivors include his children, Pauline Ellis and her husband Robert of Yale, Steve Gibson and his wife Vickie of Yale, Barbara Ullery and her husband Dave of Henderson, TX, Ronnie Gibson and his wife Rosie of Allen, TX, and Larry Gibson of Palm Springs, CA; 8 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by 9 brothers and sisters.
