Helen Lorraine (Bailey) Gibson
January 29, 1929 ~ December 05, 2019

Helen Lorraine Gibson, age 90 passed away December 5, 2019 in Guthrie, Oklahoma. Helen was born in Tipton, California on January 29, 1929 to James E. and Eunice (Woolbright) Bailey.

Helen worked in Los Angles at the Copper Clock Restaurant where she met her husband Carl R. Gibson, Jr. They were both employed at the restaurant and later married there. She later worked in management in the motel/hotel industry. Helen had lived in Guthrie the past seven years and previously lived in Haskell, Oklahoma. She enjoyed reading the Bible and was a writer of Bible Studies that was sent to Africa. Helen was also a recording artist in the 60's.

Survivors include her three Children; son Greg Gibson and wife Rolynda of Guthrie, daughter Claudia Karasek and husband Jerome of Haskell and daughter Lorraine Herschleb and husband Scott of Escondido, CA. She is also survived by a sister-in-law Lillian Bailey of Tulane, CA, nine grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren. Helen was preceded in death by her husband Carl, two sisters, Gene and Jacqueline and one brother James and a grandchild Joel David.

A memorial service will be held at a later date. Arrangements by Hayes Funeral Home.
