Marvalene D. "Micki" Gehle, 91, of Dewey, died at 5:25 P.M. on Monday, December 9, 2013 at her home in Dewey.

Memorial services for Mrs. Gehle will be held at 2 P.M. on Saturday, December 21, 2013, at the Word of Truth Fellowship (Bison Road & Durham Road) with Pastor Jim Anderson officiating. Cremation arrangements were under the direction of the Stumpff Funeral Home & Crematory.

Mrs. Gehle was born at Barnard, Kansas on July 1, 1922 the daughter of Ralph G. and Nellie A. (King) Decker. She grew up and received her education in the Fort Riley, Kansas area and was married to Charles Homer Gehle on December 6, 1938 at Manhattan, Kansas. They made their home at various locations during Mr. Gehle's career with the U.S. Air Force. Following his military retirement in 1975 they made their home in Ochelata, Oklahoma.

Mr. Gehle preceded her in death on November 1, 1989. Mrs. Gehle and her husband were members of the Oklahoma Wagon Racers and participated on trail rides in Oklahoma, Arkansas and Missouri. Mrs. Gehle moved to Bristow in 1990. She was active in Civic events, by serving on the Bristow Housing Authority Board and as President of the Bristow Senior Citizens Corp. She was a member of the election boards and a hospital volunteer in both Washington County and Creek County. She was a member of the Baptist Church of Bristow. She returned to Dewey to make her home in 1998 and has attended the Word of Truth Fellowship. Her hobbies included ceramics and playing Skip-Bo with family and friends.

Survivors include two sons, Duane Gehle and wife Mary of Morris, Oklahoma and Jerry Dean Gehle and wife Deana of Dewey, Oklahoma, one daughter, Marvalyn Colleen Medlock of Garland, Texas, two brothers, Terry Wray Decker of Ammon, Idaho and Tommy Decker of Genesse, Idaho, nine grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren and six great great grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by her parents, one brother and two sisters.
