Anita Louise Gassett, 78, of Meeker, passed away on November 27, 2025. She was born on October 15, 1947, in Shawnee to George and Doris Elliott.
Anita was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She found joy in the simple pleasures of country living, embroidering, watching the wildlife around her home, and caring for the cats she dearly loved. Above all, she treasured every moment spent with her grandchildren.
She leaves behind her daughters: Teresa Casteel; Traci Porter and husband, Robert; and Tricia Lasenberry. She is also survived by her grandchildren: Jason Casteel, Tonya Deatherage, Kaitlin Frazier, Jessica Kalivoda, and Cody Lasenberry; along with numerous other family members and friends who will forever hold her close in their hearts.
Anita was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Henry Gassett, and her parents.
Her warmth, kindness, and gentle spirit will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
