Alvin E. Garvin

???? ~ December 1, 1985 | Age 81

Attica, Kansas - Alvin E. Garvin, 81, former resident of Carmen, died Sunday, December 1, 1985. The funeral will be at 2 PM Wednesday at the Attica Christian Church with the Rev. Everette Thompson officiating. Burial will be in the Attica Cemetery under the direction of the Parsons – Williams Funeral Home, Anthony, Kansas.

Garvin was born in Tescott, Kansas. He moved to a farm near Carmen when he was a small child. He attended rural school and high school in Carmen. Garvin was employed by the Santa Fe Railroad for 42 years and had made his home in several Oklahoma and Kansas communities while working for the railroad. He had lived in Attica, Kansas, for the past 10 years.

He is survived by his wife, Anna; four daughters and five sons; two sisters, Ada Goss, Carmen and Dollie Davis, San Jose, California; 28 grandchildren and 27 great - grandchildren.
