Sharon Sue"Sherry" (Rogers) Garrett

The family visitation for Sharon (Sherry) Sue Rogers will be held Thursday August 10, 2017 from 5:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. in the Brown-Cummings Funeral Home. A private service celebrating her life will be held by the family at a later date. Complete cremation care is under the direction of Brown-Cummings Funeral Home.

 She was born to William F. Rogers III and Billie Sue Rogers December 6, 1949 and passed from this life on August 3, 2017 at her home.

 She was raised in Atoka, OK where she graduated from Atoka High school.   She made her home in Enid where she raised her three children Gregg, Todd, and Jennifer.

 After her children were raised, she returned to college earning her Master's degree in education from Phillips University in Enid.

 She had a passion for teaching and loved her students and they her. She taught drama, speech, and english arts in the Enid Public Schools until her retirement.

 She understood the importance of and valued the arts.  Theater, music, and dance where her favorites which she was able to display in the many Gaslight Theater productions she performed in. She was very imaginative, creative, and talented. She was also a member of Central Christian Church.

 She was a devoted mom and adored her grandchildren. She also loved to shop and would always seem to find someone she knew everywhere she went.

Sherry is survived by her three children Gregg Garrett, wife Lindsey, and their sons Grant and Greyson of Oklahoma City, OK. Todd Garrett, wife Natalie, and their daughter Hallie of Enid, OK. Jennifer Kirk and husband James of Choctaw, OK. Two sisters: Teresa Teters of Collinsville, TX and Cynthia Rogers of Houston, TX Niece: Mollie Brand, husband Jeff, and their daughters Sydney and McKenna of Lucas, TX various extended family members and a host of loving friends.

She was proceeded in death by her parents and various extended family members.

Memorials can be made to the Enid SPCA with Brown-Cummings Funeral Home serving as custodian of the funds.
