Leona Billie Jean (Carr) Gardner

February 9, 1940 ~ June 24, 2012

 Leona Billie Jean Gardner died June 24, 2012, with her family by her side in Oklahoma City, Ok. She was born February 2, 1940 to Marion and Flossie Carr.

Billie married her high school sweetheart, Harold Gardner, and started her new life as a military wife in 1958. She graduated South Lyon High School in 1957 and Baptist Bible College in 1982. She was an active member of Southwest Baptist Church, belonged to the Gold Star Wives and worked for her Lord Jesus wherever she saw a need. Her interests included her family, gardening, reading, and word puzzles. She devoted much of her time and energy as a caregiver to family and friends.

Billie is survived by her brother Robert Carr, her children and their spouses, RoxAnn & Jeff Dowd, Susan Colburn, Frank & Tina Gardner and Donna & Ken Handke; 11 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband Harold, her parents Flossie and Marion Carr; her son-in-law Frank Colburn and 2 grandchildren Joshua Diehl and William Colburn.
