Kason Keith Gamble

Kason Keith Gamble
June 11, 1999 ~ November 11, 2019

Kason Keith Gamble, son of Brandon and Tali (Griesel) Gamble and big brother of Kenna, Kruz and Kassidee was born at Woodward, Ok. On June 11, 1999. His earthly journey was completed five months after his 20th birthday on November 11, 2019. 20 years and 5 months to the day, Brandon and Tali are in the same exact place it all began. They were staying at Buster and Jarita's when Tali went into labor. At 1:52 p.m. On June 11, 1999 Kason Keith Gamble made his way into the world. On November 11, 2019 they are back at Jarita's, mourning the loss of their son. As a youngster Kason grew up in the Vici community, he was baptized and attended the Vici Methodist Church.

Kason had a love for animals and he was a wanderer. He gave many a scare when he was little and would decided a horse or dog needed his attention or if he just wanted to take a walk to town. That little red OU coat came in handy when trying to track that little guy down.

He later moved with his family to Camargo, OK. His school days were spent in the Vici Public School system where he graduated with the class of 2018. During his school years he was active in FFA and he had a special interest in science fair projects which earned him the right to participate at the International Science Fair in Pittsburgh, PA. as well as in the science division at the National FFA Convention in Louisville, KY.

Kason was a talented athlete and baseball was his favorite sport. In 2017 he was a member of the Hydro-Eakly Labor Day all tournament team and a WOBC All Star.

His love for music stems from his mother singing, rocking and dancing with him when he was little. When he was older they would drive around singing all the while Tali would be teaching him who the artists were. If you were to ask Kason who sang a song he would know the answer, everything from Elton John to Johnny Cash to 5 Finger Death Punch. Tali's love of music definitely shined though Kason, a great example of that is when he would sit at the piano with Kassidee, who loved her one on one time with her big brother.

He enjoyed hunting, fishing especially with his little brother Kruz and was a fan of OU football and the OKC Thunder. A treasured memory was made by attending Wrigley Field with his dad, brother and papa to watch his favorite team, the Chicago Cubs.

Kason was 8 years old when he was given his first deer rifle. Brandon took Kason on a hunt with the new rifle and right off they saw a buck. Kason of course wanted to give it a try. Being at least 500 yards away and in a dead run, Brandon thought there was “no way” that boy would get close. Kason took the chance and to Brandon's amazement Kason took 1 shot and dropped that buck in his tracks.

Another memorable moment was when Kenna was 2 years old and Kason about 4 years old they were playing when Kason decided to pick up a battery operated drill. He thought touching it to Kenna's hair would be a fun thing to do. However, it wrapped Kenna's hair up so fast in that drill that it went right to her scalp and pulled out some of her hair. Kenna being the tough girl we all know her to be, was consoling Kason for what he had accidentally done to her. Kason was so upset he had hurt his sister, it just broke his heart.

Kason was well known for his personality, helping others, being a hard worker, his handsome smile and his huge heart.

Kason was preceded in death by his grandfather, Gerald “Buster” Gamble, his great grandparents, Carl and Myra Nebhut, George and Gerri Eastman, Leroy and Liane Griesel, Zela and Raymond Gamble, Leroy Gamble, Darrell Gwinn and his daughter Rita Gwinn.

His memory is cherished by his parents Brandon and Tali Gamble, and his siblings, Kenna, Kruz and Kassidee. His grandmother Jarita Gamble, grandparents Wayne and Linda Phillips, Bill and Judy Griesel and Katherine Fields, various aunts & uncles, numerous cousins, other relatives and a host of friends.

Memorials may be made to the Vici High School Baseball in care of Shaw Funeral Home, P.O. Box 276, Vici, OK 73859.
