Laura (Trotter) Gambel

June 13, 1921 ~ December 5, 2005

Memorial service for Laura Trotter Gambel, age 84, of Chickasha, Oklahoma, will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, December 12, 2005, in the First Presbyterian Church.

Laura Trotter Gambel was born the daughter of Carroll Trotter and Mabel Dews Trotter on June 13, 1921, in El Reno, Oklahoma. She died on December 5, 2005, at her home in Chickasha.

Services are under the direction of the McRay Funeral Home.

Laura Trotter Gambel

Memorial service for Laura Trotter Gambel, age 84, of Chickasha, Oklahoma, will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, December 12, 2005, in the First Presbyterian Church. Rev. Barbara Hunt will officiate.

Laura Trotter Gambel was born the daughter of Carroll Trotter and Mabel Dews Trotter on June 13, 1921, in El Reno, Oklahoma. She died on December 5, 2005, at her home in Chickasha.

Laura graduated from El Reno High School and attended El Reno Junior College (Redlands).

She married Burrel B. Gambel on January 17, 1943, in El Reno Presbyterian Church. Laura was a long time member and elder of the First Presbyterian Church in Chickasha.

Mr. and Mrs. Gambel moved to Chickasha in 1970, when he retired from the U.S. Air Force.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Survivors include: Husband: Burel Gambel of Chickasha; Daughter & Husband: Kathy & Larry Ratliff of Edmond; Son & Wife: Richard & Karen Gambel of Little Rock, Arkansas; Granddaughter & Husband: Dana & Michael Scott of Fayetteville, Arkansas; Granddaughter & Husband: Sara & Steve Tipton of Memphis, Tennessee; Grandson: Matt Kready of Edmond; Four Great-Grandchildren: Brother: Louis Trotter of Wichita, Kansas; Aunt: Dana Dews of Chickasha.

Services are under the direction of the McRay Funeral Home. Condolences may be sent to the family at our website, www.mcrayfuneral.com.

Memorial contributions may be made to the First Presbyterian Church.
