Virginia Lee Foshee was born on a farm in Missouri on September 15, 1938 to James W. McBride and Maude Harrel. She passed peacefully in the loving care of the women of Herman House in Sperry, OK.
Virginia lived her life in either Owasso or Skiatook after graduating Skiatook High School in 1956 as the Valedictorian. She began her career at Bell Telephone as a switchboard operator and became a manager/information operator when the world left the switchboard behind. She had a gap in her working career was a stay at home wife for many years, but she filled that time caring for fourteen different foster children. After a divorce, she returned to the workforce at Hathaway Industries, Inc. as a line technician.
She was preceded in death by her father, James W. McBride; mother, Maude Stone; one sister, Alta Lou, and five brothers: Frank, Jim, Charles, Tom and Joe McBride.
She is survived by two sisters, Mary Martin and Martha Graham. She is also survived by two very loving nieces, Brenda Presley and Debbie Thayer.
Mary and Martha would like to thank Lori and Jeff Baker for helping care for Virginia in the last two months, along with the people of Herman House.
