Robert Charles Foreman
March 6, 1947 ~ May 14, 2025

Robert Charles Foreman, 78, of Locust Grove, passed away on May 14, 2025, in Tulsa. He was born to Herman and Jewell (Downing) Foreman. Robert owned and operated Foreman's Auto Supply in Locust Grove for many years, becoming a well-known and respected figure in the community. His dedication to public service began when he joined the Locust Grove Fire Department on April 13, 1976. He rose through the ranks, serving as Assistant Chief and later as Fire Chief from 1984 until his retirement in 2013. Robert was named Oklahoma Fire Chief of the year by the Oklahoma Fire Chiefs Association, the first volunteer firefighter named Chief of the Year. In addition to his work with the fire department, Robert served on the MESTA Board of Directors and the Hogan Cemetery Board, always looking for ways to give back and support his community.

On July 26, 1969, Robert married Linda (Ratliff) in Locust Grove. Their life together was filled with love, laughter, and a deep commitment to family. His beloved grandchildren were the light of his life, always his top priority. Robert enjoyed hunting, fishing, traveling, and spending quality time with family. He was especially devoted to caring for elder family members.

He had a passion for fast cars, NASCAR, and trips to the casino. In their younger years, he and Linda loved playing tennis together and working side by side on rebuilding cars. Robert’s legacy is one of service to the Fire Department focusing on improving the department, equipment, securing grants along with hard work, and a deep family devotion. He will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by all who knew and loved him.
