Douglass Ray Flink

Douglass Ray Flink
September 7, 1950 ~ June 14, 2025

Douglass Ray Flink, age 74, of Ponca City, Oklahoma, passed away peacefully on June 14, 2025.

Doug was born on September 7, 1950, in Iowa to John and Anna Flink. A devoted husband, father, grandfather, and brother, Doug cherished his family above all else. He looked forward each year to the annual family reunion in Iowa—a tradition that brought him immense joy.

A proud veteran of the United States Navy, Doug honorably served aboard the U.S.S. San Bernadino, where he honed the mechanical skills that would later shape his career as a tool and die maker.

Doug's love for the outdoors was lifelong. He found peace in nature—whether hunting or casting a line on fishing trips, especially the cherished annual outings shared with his brothers.

His faith was a guiding force in his life, and he found joy and fulfillment singing on Sundays at Prairie Chapel United Methodist Church.

Doug is survived by his loving wife, Margie Flink; their children, Eric Flink and wife, Briann; Michelle Overman and husband Rosen Rennie; Rene Garay and wife Elisa, Irene Noriega and husband Jerry, Gabriel Garay, and Roger Garay; many grandchildren; and a wide circle of extended family and friends who will deeply miss his presence.

Doug’s legacy of love, laughter, faith, and service will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
