Ruth "Anne" (Campbell) Fast

Ruth "Anne" (Campbell) Fast
February 23, 1945 ~ April 17, 2026

Ruth "Anne" Campbell Fast went to be with Jesus on Friday, April 17, 2026, at the age of 81.

Anne was born to Jesse and Ruth Campbell on February 23, 1945, in Cherokee, Oklahoma. She grew up in Jet, Oklahoma, graduating from Jet High School before earning an Elementary Education degree from NWOSU to pursue her passion for education. She dedicated her teaching career to students at Okeene, Drummond, and Fairview.

While teaching in Fairview, Anne met Larry Fast, and the two were married on March 30, 1972. It was during this season of life that Anne began attending the Fairview Mennonite Brethren Church, where she felt the Lord drawing her into a personal relationship with His Son, Jesus Christ. It was this stirring in her heart that she accepted God’s grace and gave her life to Jesus Christ and was baptized demonstrating her new life. Her faith was the foundation of her life that she embodied through the end. She and Larry remained devoted members of Fairview Mennonite Brethren Church.

Anne and Larry were blessed with two children, Carmel Annette and Brandon James. She poured herself into her roles as wife, mother, and homemaker. Her hobbies included reading, sewing, and quilting — passions she also shared with her community through the Common Threads Quilting Guild. She further served her community on the Fairview Public Library Board.

She is survived by her husband, Larry; daughter Carmel and husband Jaye Rose of Kingfisher; son Brandon and wife Sandra of Waukee, Iowa; and grandchildren Laney and Evan Rose, Bryson Fast, and Emilie, Kacie, and Daniel Kosbab.

Anne will be remembered for her quiet faith, love of family, and the care she stitched into everything she touched.

A funeral service will be held Friday, April 24th, 2026 at 10:00 a.m. at Fairview MB Church, with Travis Schmidt officiating. Visitation will be 5-7 p.m., Thursday, April 23rd at Pierce Funeral Home in Fairview, Oklahoma. Memorials may be made to the Fairview Fellowship Home, 605 E. State Road, Fairview, OK 73737. Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at www.piercefuneralhomes.com.
