George Edward Ezell

George Edward Ezell
February 9, 1937 ~ August 28, 2021

 The funeral services celebrating and honoring the life of George Edward Ezell, 84, of Enid, will be 1:00 p.m. Saturday, September 4, 2021, in the Christ United Methodist Church, with Reverend Kwan Young Kim officiating. Military Honors will be conducted by the United States Air Force. A visitation will be held from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. Friday September 3, 2021, in the Brown-Cummings Funeral Home. Services are under the direction of Brown-Cummings Funeral Home.

George Ezell was born on February 9, 1937, to Jesse Lee Ezell and Opal Louise (Hopkins) Ezell in Chickasha, Oklahoma. He was raised in Albuquerque, New Mexico, from age six months. He attended North Valley High School. He worked in highway construction before enlisting in the United States Air Force in 1956. He was an electrician and ended his career as a Work Control Supervisor in Civil Engineering. He served in a number of locations around the world in his 23 years, 6 months, and 15 days of service: Texas, Wyoming, Morocco, Montana, Alaska, Delaware, Vietnam, Washington State, The Air Force Academy, Korea, Thailand, California, Okinawa, Japan and Columbus, Mississippi. George retired from Military Service in Columbus on July 30, 1979, where upon he and his family moved to Enid, Oklahoma. He went to work at Vance AFB for Northrop Services Inc., retiring September 30, 2006, after 27 years. He then worked for Enid Transit until retiring in May 2021.

He married Patricia Lee Henson on September 24, 1956, in Las Cruces, New Mexico.

He was an active member of Bethany United Methodist Church since 1979. He loved God and his country and served them both during his eighty-four years.

He is survived by his wife Patricia, of the home; three sons, Charles Lee Ezell and wife Eva, of Enid, Steven Edward Ezell and wife Gayle, of Imperial, Missouri, and George Michael Ezell and wife Petrina, of Enid; one daughter, Kathryn Juanita Sigari, of Enid; twelve grandchildren; and seventeen great-grandchildren.

Memorials may be made in his honor to Hospice Circle of Love, with Brown-Cummings Funeral Home serving as custodian of the funds.
