Raymond Essary

September 18, 1936 ~ May 2, 2009

Raymond Essary, 72, of Kansas City, KS, died May 2, 2009 and was laid to rest May 7th, at the Chapel Hill-Memorial Gardens. Ray was born September 18, 1936, in Stilwell, OK, to Sherman and Lillie Magdalene Essary.

He was a Marine Corps Veteran and managed Milgrams, Foodland, and Save Mart for 40 years before retiring in 1994.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister; Gladys Patterson, and two brothers; Ray Essary and Dow Essary.

Survivors include his high school sweetheart and wife of 51 years; Carolyn of the home; 3 children; Cindy and husband Tom of Bonner Springs, KS, Sandy (Sam) Roady and husband Mike of Merriam, KS, and Chris Essary and wife Sharon of Rogers, AR, 1 brothr; Chuck Essary and wife Beverly of Westwood, KS, and four grandchildren and his faithful dog Cooper.
