Donald Alan Edwards, age 67, entered into rest with his loving family by his side on August 12, 2025. Alan was born to Donald and Barbara Edwards on September 20, 1957, in Durant, Oklahoma. Alan attended Durant Public Schools and Southeastern Oklahoma State University, and he was a member of Sigma Tau Gamma Fraternity.
Alan was a Christian man, and he attended the Baptist Church.
On August 1, 2009, Alan married Donna Raye (Pridemore) Edwards in Durant.
He worked in construction.
Alan was an Oklahoma Sooners fan but first and foremost was the love for his family.
He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Edward and Ima Turner, Lloyd and Jewel Edwards. His parents, Donald and Barbara Edwards, and his father-in-law, George Conner.
Left to cherish his memories and carry on his legacy are his wife, Donna Edwards of the home. His children Drew Edwards and wife Brandi of Providence, Texas. Makenzie Edwards and husband Richie of Princeton, Texas. Jeramiah Edwards and wife Kayla of Honey Grove, Texas. Madison Edwards of Ada, Oklahoma, Aaron Ogle and wife Denise of Durant, Oklahoma, and Ryan Ogle and wife Kristen of Calera, Oklahoma. His brother Mike Edwards of Durant and Rob Edwards and wife Jamie of Bethany, Oklahoma. Also, his six beautiful grandchildren: Brayden Edwards, Kloe Bomsburger, Kamryn Edwards, Kyndall Edwards, Talon Ogle, and Avery Ogle.
A memorial visitation is set for this Saturday, August 16, 2025, at 2:00 PM at Brown’s Durant Funeral Service Chapel. Online condolences can be made at www.brownsfuneralservice.com
