Arthur R. Eddy
July 23, 1938 ~ February 03, 2019

Arthur R. Eddy, age 80, passed away on Sunday, February 3, 2019 in Lawton, Oklahoma. He was born July 23, 1938 to Leonard and Lillie Eddy in Middlebourne, West Virginia.

Mr. Eddy graduated from Tyler County High School in 1956. He married Corena Baker on November 23, 1958. Arthur was a resident of Middlebourne and Gorrells Run in the Tyler County area of West Virginia until 2012, when he moved to Sterling, Oklahoma and resided until his passing. He was a member of the Gorrells Run Church of Christ in Middlebourne, West Virginia and the Gore Boulevard Church of Christ in Lawton, Oklahoma. Arthur retired from the Ormet Aluminum Plant in Hannibal, Ohio after forty-two years of service, twenty-three of them working as a crane operator and later retired as a Certified Electrician.

Arthur is survived by his wife of sixty years, Corena Mae Baker Eddy; sons, Dana and wife Marla Eddy of Hurricane, West Virginia and Ralph and wife Kathy Eddy of Sterling, Oklahoma; daughters, Mae and husband Ricky Waters of Dansville, West Virginia and Lisa and husband Jason Franey of Virginia Beach, Virginia; sister, Wanda Parr of Muddy Creek, West Virginia; brother Alfred and wife Marie Eddy of Middlebourne, West Virginia and was blessed with nine grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents; father and mother-in-law, Dana and Edna Baker; brothers-in-law, John Parr and Jack Baker and a daughter, Regina Eddy Shepherd.

Arthur will be sorely missed by family, friends, and thousands whom he helped without any thought of payment.

A memorial event will be held in Middlebourne, West Virginia on Monday, February 11, 2019 at 6:00 PM at the Senior Center 504, Cherry Street.
