Graveside services for Jewell E. Eblen, 77, were held September 25, 1991, at Roselawn Memorial Park, Denton, Texas. Rev. Bruce Austin officiated.
A 30 year resident of Denton, Mrs. Eblen died September 22 in the Denton Nursing Center. She was born August 6, 1914, in Seymour, Texas, the daughter of the late John Eakins of Burneyville. Mrs. Eblen was a member of Grace Temple Baptist Church and a retired cook for the University of North Texas.
Survivors include a son, James A. Eblen of Ruidoso, New Mexico; a daughter, Marilyn Crouse of Denton; a brother, William Eakins of Healdton; six sisters, Beatrice Cartwright of Velma, Pauline Hodges of Wilson, Lois Cartwright of Valley View, Texas, and Betty Carlile, Arline Wade, and Christine Williams of Rubottom; five grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
Jack Schmitz & Son Funeral Home, Denton, was in charge of arrangements.
