Anna "Grace" Dye, resident of Ponca City, passed away at the Ponca City Medical Center, Sunday, July 20, 2008 at the age of 84. Grace was born October 17, 1923 to George and Stella Seigh in Pennsylvania. She met D.J. "Jack" Dye in Pennsylvania during World War II while Jack was in the Navy. They were wed March 8, 1945 in Grace's parents home in Bolivar, Pennsylvania & celebrated 63 years of marriage in March. To this union, a son James "Jim" was born and four years later, a daughter, Paula was born.

Grace was an excellent seamstress, loved to bowl, dance & listen to music. She loved to play bingo & almost always was a winner. Her greatest joy was her family, especially her grandchildren & great-grandchildren. She was a stay-at-home Mom until her children grew older and then became a salesperson for Gibsons, Howards, K-Mart and Leonards Grocery. She & Jack traveled to many places in their marriage while Jack worked on pipelines & then settled in Arkansas City, Kansas, then moved to Ponca City. They lived in Dodge City and returned to Ponca City where they lived until her death.

She is survived by her husband Jack of Ponca City, daughter & husband, Paula & E.W. Wright of rural Marland, Oklahoma, daughter-in-law & husband Virginia & Deuane Wells of Arkansas City, Kansas; grandchildren Steve A. Dye of California, Mike & Andrea Dye of Concord, North Carolina, Jessica & Jerry Root of Jenks, Oklahoma, Brooke & Darren Dyer of Ponca City, great-grandchildren: Boston, Caleb & Jackson Dye of Concord, North Carolina; Breanne, Landen & Hannah Dyer of Ponca City, and Victoria Root of Jenks, Oklahoma. She is also survived by brothers & spouses Don & Sarah Seigh, George & Judy Seigh, sisters, Jean Minemyer & Trudy & Eugene Hall all of Pennsylvania; sister-in-laws Bonnie Dye of Arkansas City, Kansas, Bonnie Bolts of California & Fern & Vernon Lively of Blackwell, Oklahoma and numerous nieces & nephews. She is also survived by loved ones & friends of Shawn Manor Nursing Home. Grace was preceded in death by her parents; one son, Jim Dye, and one brother Jim Seigh.
