Catherine Marie (Pavusek) Dumas
June 15, 1946 ~ September 03, 2018

Catherine Marie Dumas age 72 of Purcell passed away Monday, September 3, 2018 at her home.   She was born June 15, 1946 in Honolulu, Hawaii.   She was the oldest child born to Peter Pavusek and Lillian Winey.   Known as Cathy among her family and friends, she grew up in Hayward, California graduating with the class of 1964. Cathy later married Gerald Steiner and together they raised one daughter, Gerilyn.

Some years later Cathy remarried, marrying Johnny Dumas. To this union two bonus daughters were inducted into her family, Hollie and Dayna. Cathy and Johnny remained living in California until 2011. At that time they moved to Purcell, the home town where Johnny grew up.

Throughout her life, Cathy worked with the Animal Humane Society as an animal rescue volunteer and activist. She helped hundreds of animals and animal lovers find homes for abandoned animals.

 She loved being outdoors, working in her flower garden, growing roses, watching the butterflies and feeding her hummingbirds. She was a wonderful cook and enjoyed cooking for her family. She liked NASCAR and watching Drag Racing.

She was preceded in death by:
Parents,                Peter Pavusek and Lilian Surdez

She is survived by:
Husband,              Johnny Dumas of the home in Purcell.
Daughter,             Gerilyn Serauskis of San Jose, CA.
Two bonus daughters,            Hollie Wilkes of Purcell, Dayna Jackson of Tracy, CA.
Bonus son-in-law,                  Gregg Wilkes of Purcell,
One brother,                  Peter Pavusek and wife Diane of Mt. City, TN.
One sister,                     Barbara Noonan of Pleasanton, CA.
Seven grandchildren,    Felicia Fox, Michelle Fox, Eithan Jackson, Kyle Wilkes,  Hayden Wilkes, Eleanor Serauskis and Marjie Serauskis.
Several nieces, nephews and other family and friends.

In lieu of a service, visitation with family and friends will be from 6-8pm Wednesday, Sept. 5, 2018 at Wilson-Little Funeral Home in Purcell.
