William Anthony "Tony" Dum
August 8, 1953 ~ July 17, 2017

Mr. William Anthony "Tony" Dum, 63, of Bartlesville, died at 6:50 P.M. on Monday, July 17, 2017 in Tulsa.

A Rosary service will be held at 7 P.M. on Friday, July 21, 2017 in the Stumpff Funeral Home Chapel. The Funeral Mass will be held at 10 A.M. on Saturday, July 22, 2017 at the St. John Before The Latin Gate Catholic Church with Rev. John M. O'Neill officiating. Services and cremation are under the direction of the Stumpff Funeral Home & Crematory.

Mr. Dum was born in Bartlesville, Oklahoma on August 8, 1953 the son of William Anthony and Mary Ann (Schneider) Dum. He grew up in Dewey and attended St. John Catholic School in Bartlesville through the eighth grade. He then attended Dewey Public Schools where he graduated from Dewey High School in 1971. He attended Central State University and then earned his certificate in computer aided drafting from Platt College.

He had been a journeyman carpenter and has been a longtime employee of Flight Safety International in Broken Arrow where he was a Senior Computer Drafting Engineer. He was married to Janis Marie Webb for 20 years and they recently remarried. They made their home in Dewey until moving to Bartlesville. He was a member of the St. James Catholic Church for many years and also attended St. John Before The Latin Gate Catholic Church. He was a musical prodigy who was also well read and self taught. He also loved all University of Oklahoma sports.

Mr. Dum is survived by his wife, Janis of the home, two sons, Christopher Dum and wife Erin of Norman and Jonathan Dum of Bartlesville, a step son, Jamey Gentry of Tahlequah, two sisters, Linda Fowler of Nowata and Susan Dum of Collinsville, one brother, Frank Dum of Collinsville and seven grandchildren, Owen Dum, Kyleigh Dum, Seth Dum, Cadence Dum, Lucas Dum, Randie Nichols and Shayla Gentry and nieces and nephews, Scott Fowler, Justin Fowler, Lindsey Creek, Kelsey Dum and Keegan Dum.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial donations be made to the Journey Home (hospice facility) 3406 S.E. Kentucky, Bartlesville, Oklahoma, 74006.
