Nancy Jo (Massingill) Drisko

Nancy Jo (Massingill) Drisko
November 11, 1932 ~ November 8, 2010 (age 77)

Drisko, Nancy Jo, 78, passed away November 8, 2010 in Norman, Oklahoma.  She was born November 11, 1931 in Lufkin, Texas to Hopson and Chloe King Massingill.

Nancy had a full life that included a short but loving marriage to Joe Walker, who was killed in the Korean War.  She later married Charles Herbert Drisko, who was a pilot in the Air Force.  Together they traveled and lived in various states as well as England, and raised three children.  During her life she shared her love of the outdoors with her family through many camping and boating trips.  After settling in Norman, she took up tennis, becoming an avid player, and was one of the original Redland Racquet Club members. She also found her passion in art, both as an artist and a patron of the arts.  Nancy additionally served as a volunteer, her favorite organizations were the Firehouse Art Station, Fred Jones Museum and Food and Shelter.  A loving and caring woman, she will be greatly missed.

She is survived by sons, David Drisko of Navarre, Florida and Tim Drisko of Mt. Dora, Florida; daughter, Diana Halper and husband Louis of Long Beach, California; brother, Douglas Massingill of Tucson, Arizona; five grandchildren, Jasper Drisko, Tika Drisko, Tanin Drisko, Darby Halper and Ryan Halper.  She is also survived by Tom Holland, Joe Holland and Brian and Jackie Massingill and a host of other family and friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents.

Donations may be made to Food and Shelter, 104 W. Comanche, Norman, OK 73069.

Memorial services will be held 2:00 P.M. Friday, November 12, 2010 at St. Stephens United Methodist Church in Norman, Oklahoma.
