William Dossie 'Bill" Dowdell

May 29, 1921 ~ August 28, 2009

William D. 'Bill' Dowdell, Jr., 88 of Midwest City, OK died August 28, 2009 at his residence. Born May 29, 1921 in Jackson, TN to Lucille and William D. Dowdell, Sr.

He was a longtime member of Country Estates Baptist Church and enjoyed the fellowship with the Gadders. He also was a Master Mason Scottish Rites in Midwest City Lodge 532.

Bill was preceded in death by his parents, brother Kenneth, his wife of 50 yrs, Dottie, and wife Shirley Dowdell of the home.

Bill is survived by his daughter, Cheryl Ritterskamp and husband John of MWC and son Bob Dowdell and wife Katherine of Houston, TX, 4 grandchildren, Nicole & Jarrod VanZant of Edmond, Hunter Ritterskamp of MWC, Katie and Robert Dowdell of Houston, TX, and brother Jimmy B. Dowdell and wife Sue of Alabama.

Visitation will start Saturday, August 29, 2009 at 8 AM and family will be accepting friends and other family members at the funeral home on Sunday, August 30, 2009 from 5 PM to 8 PM.
