Sherry Jean (Chance) Doty

November 8, 1948 ~ June 30, 2023

Sherry Jean Doty passed away on Friday, June 30, 2023, at her home in Red Bud, Illinois. She was 74.

She was born on November 8, 1948, in Hardtner, Kansas, to the late Charles and Norma Chance. She graduated from Alva High School in 1966.

While attending Northwestern Oklahoma State, she met and later married Robert Jay Doty.

She is survived by her husband, Robert Doty of Red Bud, Illinois; one daughter, one son, three grandchildren, one sister, and other family members and friends.

Visitation will be at the Leesman Funeral Home in Red Bud, Illinois, on July 9, 2023, at 1 p.m. A memorial service will begin at 2 p.m.

Memorials may be made in her honor to any charity benefiting animals.
