James E. Dorsey, Jr.

February 21, 1942 ~ 2003

Memorial service for James E. Dorsey, Jr., 57, Cement, will be 2:00 p.m. Thursday, March 13, 2003, at the Robbins Funeral Home Chapel Fletcher, with R. C. Lewis, Verden, Oklahoma, officiating.

Mr. Dorsey died Saturday in a Chickasha hospital.

He was born February 21, 1942, in Fort Cobb, Oklahoma, to James E. and Vera Fay (Williams) Dorsey.

He grew up in the Cement area. He was drafted into the Army in 1966, and served until 1968. He returned to the Cement area and went to work for the railroad for about 10 years. He later worked for various oil companies in and around the Cement area and retired in 1989.

He married Oleta Edwards in Anadarko, Oklahoma, on August 4, 1988.

Survivors include: wife: Oleta Dorsey of the home; 3 daughters: Kimberly Bowerman and husband, Wade, Cement, Oklahoma, Tamie Remy and husband Victor, Cement, Oklahoma, Jamie Dorsey of the home; 1 son: Michael James Dorsey and wife Kelly, Chickasha, Oklahoma; 2 sisters: Vera Fay Zwolle, Cement, Oklahoma; Brenda Pace, Cement, Oklahoma; 8 grandchildren: Shayni, Dereck and Blake Dorsey, Kyle, Kassidy and Kalea Remy, Thomas and Bobby Joe Bowerman.

He was preceded in death by his parents and an infant sister.
