Roberta Ellen "Bobbi" Terrel Donaldson

Roberta Ellen "Bobbi" Terrel Donaldson
October 25, 1946 ~ July 19, 2021

Life is a precious journey.

These were the words Bobbi lived by. Roberta Ellen "Bobbi" Terrel Donaldson passed away on July 19, 2021, while on vacation with her beloved family. She was vibrant, joyful, and larger than life.

Bobbi was raised in Carmen, Oklahoma, and was the epitome of a small town girl. She valued community, loved her family and friends and never met a stranger. She was a fiercely loyal and loving daughter, mother, sister, wife, aunt, cousin, and sister-in-law who would always help you, celebrate you, support you, and rescue you.

Bobbi had many jobs in her life, but her career and passion was found in long-term care. She was highly respected in her profession and served in leadership positions at the local and state level. She worked purposefully to improve the lives of the people in her care. She was a wonderful advocate for better working conditions, training, and respectful treatment of the staff, nurses, and CNAs in the industry.

She had a heart for service and spent a lifetime working to make life better for those around her. Many have said that she was the most generous person they ever met. She seemed tireless in her efforts to step up and help those in need. She chaired the outreach committee at Christian Church of the Covenant and loved spending time with the kids at vacation Bible school. She was active in the Gaslight Theatre, volunteered at the Community Clinic, was a founding member of the Senior Resource Alliance, and was active in more charities than we can list. This community is a better place because of her.

Bobbi loved with her whole heart and took pleasure in the successes and joys of the people in her life. She encouraged those around her to reach for their dreams, and was forever helping someone get into college, find a better job, attend a conference, or plan a baby shower. She was fun and mischievous and always up for an adventure. If you were her friend, you never laughed so hard, felt so safe, or got into so much trouble in your life. And nearly everyone she met became a friend.

She has left a heart-sized crater in the rock of this earth. Please join her husband, children, grandchildren, siblings, nieces, nephews, brothers- and sisters-in-law, and countless loved ones in honoring her memory by doing an act of kindness for someone else. Visit a senior in a nursing home, buy school supplies or new shoes for a child in need, volunteer your time at a local clinic or community center, take in a senior rescue pet, make a meal for a homebound neighbor or relative. She was an endless source of love and generosity, and we will continue to shine her light into the world.

A memorial service celebrating the life of Roberta "Bobbi" Donaldson will be held at 81 Ranch in Enid, Oklahoma, on August 28th at 4:00 p.m. All are welcome to come and share stories, fellowship, food, and drinks and honor an amazing life.
