David Lee (Moler) Dodd

Service of Remembrance and Celebration of Life for David Lee Moler, 63, of Enid, Okla., will be 2 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 20, 2015, at Ladusau-Evans Funeral Chapel, with Mr. William Rockholt officiating. Cremation will be under the direction of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home.

David was born Oct. 13, 1951, in Enid, Okla., the son of Chester L. Moler and Alice Hakel. However, he was raised as David L. Dodd, the son of Arthur W. and Alice M. Dodd. David passed away Thursday, Jan. 15, 2015, in Enid, after a short illness.

David worked over 18 years with Daddy Joe Cantellay at the Cantellay Fruit Stand, once located at 2nd and Market Street. He was thought of as one of their kids and loved as so.

David married Patsy J. Weidner Nov. 17, 1977, in Enid. From this union, their daughter, Darlene Sue Moler, was born.

He is survived by his daughter, Darlene S. Moler Bataineh and husband Ayman, a grandson, Basem of Maple Shade, N.J.; three sisters, Janice Rockholt of Enid, Patricia Smith of Ochelata, Okla., and Thelma Dodd of Enid; a brother, Bobby Dodd of Waukomis, Okla.; numerous nieces and nephew, with several great-great-nieces and nephews. Everyone was very special to their uncle David.

He was preceded in death by all of his parents; sister, Mary Ann Dodd-Munoz; sisters-in-law, Mary E. Dodd and Patty J. Dodd; and brother, John L. Dodd.

His life touched so many, his light will shine on.
