Donald Dickson
December 28, 1945 ~ January 23, 2026

Donald Dickson passed from this life on January 23, 2026, at the age of 80 in Cleveland, Oklahoma.

Don was born on December 28, 1945, in Albany, New York, the son of Dallas LeRoy and Christina Elizabeth (VanDam) Dickson. Don grew up and attended school in Sand Springs, Oklahoma, graduating from Charles Page High School with the Class of 1963. Following high school, Don attended Oklahoma A&M College in Okmulgee, learning the trade of auto-body repair. Don later moved to Oklahoma City and was employed by the Oklahoma Department of Human Services in the warehouse. Don retired from DHS after 20 years.

Don always enjoyed going fishing, watching movies, volunteering at the local fire department and going to concerts. He was an avid collector of watches, pens, and knives. Going on road trips, watching the Oklahoma Show on Sundays, and then checking out the places featured were a normal thing. Collecting Eskimo Joe's t-shirts, watching and attending Oklahoma City Thunder and Oklahoma City Hockey Games, and eating at the Village Inn were common places for Don to travel.

Survivors are his siblings, Cathy Hickson and her husband Bill, James Dickson and his wife Kathy, nephew and niece Shannon Murray, Tammy Fittje and husband Trent, and great nieces and nephews Dillon Murray, Madeline Murray, Tristan Murray, Dallas Murray, Tayhler Murray, Tayler Murray, Sladon Murray, Harley Murray, Ty Fittje, Ashley Fittje, Corinna Fittje, Aaron Graham, Teague Fittje, Tagun Fittje, as well as a host of other relatives and friends. In addition to his parents, Don was preceded in death by his twin sister Donna Dickson.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
