Vance E. Dickman

February 23, 1899 ~ 1987

Vance E. Dickman, 88, a former Enid resident, died Wednesday in Portland, Oregon. The funeral will be at 4 PM Friday in Portland with burial in Felton, California.

He was born February 23, 1899, to Peter and May Dickman on the family homestead. He attended Fairview Country School and North Enid High School, moving to California in 1917. His wife, Grace, died in 1979. In 1983, he moved to Portland to live with his son.

Survivors include two sons, Merle of Portland, Oregon, and Dr. Edd of Ojhi, California; a daughter, Mrs. Robert (Mae) Holland of California; a brother, Lester of Days Creek, Oregon; a sister, Mrs. Lewis (Olive) Humphrey of Enid; six grandchildren and four great � grandchildren.

Besides his wife, he was preceded in death by a sister.
