Ruby Francis Dickenson, a beloved daughter, sister, aunt, grandmother, and mother, left this life in Cartwright, Oklahoma on January 17, 2020. She was 62 years old. She was born in Grand Junction, Colorado on July 15, 1957 to Jack and Nadine Benson.

Growing up, Ruby loved riding horses and being outdoors. Ruby was loyal to her sister, Margie. She loved her dogs so much and didn’t go anywhere without them. She loved looking for good bargains at garage sales with her sister and could’ve spent every day at the lake if you would’ve let her.

She has two children, Dee and Janeen, and six grandchildren. She also had many nieces and nephews that adored her.

Ruby Dickenson is survived by her children Dee Dickenson of Fort Collins, Colorado, Janeen Cihlar of Arizona; grandchildren Daniel Dickenson of Clifton, Colorado, Matthew Cihlar, Tobbie Cihlar and Zechariah Cihlar or Arizona. Brittany Dickenson of Papillon, Nebraska and Tristan Dickenson of Fort Collins, Colorado; siblings Margie Young and husband Ricky Young of Cartwright, Oklahoma, Walter Benson and wife Alfreda Benson of Continental Divide, New Mexico, along with numerous nieces and nephews.

Ruby is preceded in death by her parents, Jack and Nadine Benson and sister, Jackie Overholt.

There will be a private celebration of life held on January 25 at 1:00pm in Colbert, Oklahoma.
