Raymond Lee "Scotty" Denton

May 4, 1926 ~ 2009

Raymond Lee (Scotty) Denton was born to George (Jake) and Ruby (Bowen) Denton May 4, 1926 in Yale, OK. His family moved to Evansville, AR where he grew up attending and graduating from Evansville School.

Known to may as "Scotty", he is survived by one son; Jim Denton of Stilwell and three daughters; Jan Grooms and Debbie O'Neal of Stilwell and Diane Ward of the Colony, Texas, 6 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren, and one brother; Carl Dean Denton of Okmulgee.

Preceding him in death were his father and mother; two brothers; Harry and George and three sisters; Lena Ray, Lillie Maxey and Ola Mae Slaughter.

Services were held Tuesday, June 2, 2009 in the Roberts/Reed-Culver Chapel with Bro. James Essary officiating. Interment will be at Lewis Cemetery in Evansville, Arkansas.
