Delmar Duane Deck

Delmar Duane Deck
March 5, 1931 ~ December 23, 2022

Delmar Duane Deck, 91, of Medicine Lodge, Kansas, died Friday, December 23, 2022, at Pratt Regional Medical Center, Pratt, Kansas.

He was born March 5, 1931, in Ashland, Kansas, the son of Edgar Ernest Deck and Lucy Bonham (Brown) Deck. On December 25, 1949, he married Alice Maeann (Pfeiffer) Deck in Protection, Kansas. She survives.

Duane was a depot agent of the Santa Fe Railway. He was a U.S. Air Force veteran of the Korean War, serving from 1951 to 1955. He was a lifetime member of the First Christian Church, Medicine Lodge, Kansas, and a member of the Lions Club.

Surviving in addition to his wife Alice Deck of Medicine Lodge, Kansas, are one son, Donald Deck of Medicine Lodge, Kansas; one grandson, Darryn (Stephanie) Deck of Harrisburg, South Dakota; three great-granddaughters, Ella Lu, Madden Marie and Kate Lynn; and one brother, Merril (Deann) Deck of Grove, Oklahoma.

Duane was preceded in death by his parents and a daughter, Cheryl Deck.

Visitation will be on Saturday, December 31, 2022, from 8 a.m. to 11:15 a.m. at Larrison Funeral Home, 120 E. Lincoln, Medicine Lodge, KS 67104.

Graveside services will be held on Saturday, December 31, 2022, at 11:30 a.m. at Highland Cemetery, Medicine Lodge, Kansas, with Pastor Tom Walters officiating.

Memorials may be made to the Medicine Lodge Memorial Hospital Long Term Care or First Christian Church, in care of Larrison Funeral Home, 120 E. Lincoln, Medicine Lodge, KS 67104.
