Katherine Ocie (Tackett) Deatherage

March 29, 1933 ~ September 22, 2010

Katherine Ocie Deatherage, passed away on September 22, 2010. She was born March 29, 1933 in Pottawatomie Co., OK, to Floyd and Agnes Tackett.

She was a graduate of Anadarko High School [Class of 1950].

She married William B. Deatherage on January 13, 1951. She worked at Western Heights Schools and was City Secretary and Assistant City Judge for Coffee City, Texas, for several years.

She was also a longtime member of Oriole Rebekah Lodge #204.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her brothers, Virgil and Floyd Edward Tackett; a sister, Ruth Dugger; her husband; her son, Richard; and a granddaughter, Sonja'.

She is survived by her son, Alan Deatherage of Oklahoma City; daughter, Carolyn Thompson and her husband Gene of Mustang; 4 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.

A celebration of her life will be held Monday, September 27, at 2:00PM, at Vondel Smith Funeral Home, 6934 S. Western Ave.
