Jackie Leon Dean

May 7, 1940 ~ March 1, 2006

 Memorial services will be held Saturday, March 25 at 1 p.m. at the First Baptist Church South for Jackie Leon Dean.

Mr. Dean was born May 7, 1940 in Weleetka to Maggie Johnson Hamilton and John Henry Dean and died March 1 in Weleetka.

He grew up in Weleetka where he was raised by his grandparents Jack and Grace Johnson. He accepted Jests Christ at the First Baptist Church South in his early teens and was a graduate of Weleetka High School. Mr. Dean enlisted in the U.S. Army and served three tours of duty in Vietnam and was awarded the Purple Heart for these injuries.

He was married to Audrey Patricia Jackson and the union two sons Kevin and Leon. He later was married to Judith Rhodes.

Preceding him in death were his parents and a son.

Survivors are a son: Jackie Leon Dean Jr., two sisters Jean Ann Hamilton and Karleen Hamilton, tow brothers Waymon R. Hamiltoin and Bennie Hamilton: a step brother Leonard Hamilton: step sister, Carmella Meyers, and grandchildren, aunts, uncles, cousins and other relatives and friends.
