Rex Vaughn Deal, 65, of Bartlesville, Oklahoma, passed away peacefully on December 5, 2017. 

Rex was born in Arkansas City, Kansas on December 29, 1951 to Paul Deal and Thelma (Mayfield) Deal. He grew up and attended schools in Arkansas City.

Rex had a long career in retail. He moved to Claremore, Oklahoma to work at Hobo Grocery. Later, a job at Price Cutter Grocery moved him to Bartlesville, where he eventually became the manager of Walgreens'.

In addition to his career in retail, Rex was an accomplished professional photographer. His photographs were published in some major publications such as People Magazine.

In 1982 Rex met his soulmate and life partner, Wanda, and they have been together ever since.

Rex enjoyed fishing, and his favorite place to relax and fish was the Roaring River in Missouri.

He is survived by his wife Wanda and four sisters. He was preceded in death by his brother Marion and his parents, Paul and Thelma.

A memorial service will be planned at a later date.
