Virginia Charlene Davis

March 9, 1932 ~ April 27, 2002

CARROLLTON - Virginia Charlene Davis, 70, died Saturday, April 27, 2002.

Memorial services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Valley View Christian Church of Carrollton. Burial will be at 2 p.m. Friday in Memorial Park Cemetery in Amarillo. Arrangements are by Rhoton Funeral Home.

Mrs. Davis was born March 9, 1932, in Sayer, Okla., to Charles and Viola Lightner. She lived in Amarillo from 1935 to 1978 working for Nunn Electric as an accounts payable clerk, then moved to Las Cruces, N.M., and worked as a bookkeeper. In 1999 she moved to Carrollton working as a document preparations clerk for Scan Data.

Survivors include two daughters, Judy E. Kuper of Carrollton and Jenny Jones of Wichita Falls; two sons, James Davis of Fort Gibson, Okla., and Michael Davis of Austin; two sisters, Zona L. Crespin of Roswell, N.M., and Betty C. Lintner of Amarillo; two brothers, Harry R. (Sonny) Stovall of Shamrock and James R. Stovall of Kilgore; 12 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
