Clara Sophie (Sohi) Griffith Davis

March 28, 1915 ~ March 14, 2010

The funeral for Clara Sophie Sohi Griffith Davis, 94, will be 1:30 p.m. Thursday, March 18, 2010, at Trinity Lutheran Church. Burial will be in Greenlawn Cemetery. Arrangements are by Brown-Cummings Funeral Home. Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. today at the funeral home. She was born March 28, 1915, in Breckinridge to Fred and Emilie Sohi and died Sunday, March 14, 2010.

She married Lloyd Griffith in 1940. They moved from Oklahoma to Missouri in 1960. He died in 1973. She later married Alvin H. Davis. He died in 1991. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church for 50 years. She volunteered at Springfield Lutheran School, where she read to the kindergarten children. She also volunteered at CoxHealth for 19 years. In 2009 she received the Presidential Award and was recognized as CoxHealth's oldest volunteer.

Surviving are two daughters, Connie Nimmo of Fayetteville, Ark., and Kathy Higbee of Republic; one sister, Vera Cordell of Enid; four grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
