January 7, 1942 ~ August 18, 2022

Celebration of Life Service for Howard David, Jr., 80, of Pond Creek, Oklahoma, will be Wednesday, August 24, 2022, at 4:00 p.m. in Anderson-Burris Funeral Home Chapel, with Wayne Bland officiating. Cremation will follow the service.

Howard was born on January 7, 1942, in Fairview, Oklahoma, to Howard Leon David, Sr., and Eunice (Dyche) David and died on August 18, 2022, in Enid.

He grew up in the foothills of Gloss Mountains and graduated from Ringwood High School. Howard enlisted in the U.S. Army, serving 27 years and 11 months.

On December 22, 1966, he married Janice Whelchel in Fairbanks, Alaska. They lived many places, following Howard's military career. Following his retirement, he worked as a contractor at Vance Air Force Base for 16 years. Howard enjoyed spoiling his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He enjoyed coin collecting and family time.

Howard was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Gerald and Lester David; sister, Eunice Coleman.

He is survived by his wife, Janice; children, April David, Milton (Candie) David, Rebecca David and Mistie (David) Smith; 6 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; brother, Milton David; sister, Rita Lavicky; other relatives and friends.
