Eva Marie (Rogers) Daniel

Eva Marie (Rogers) Daniel
August 17, 1930 ~ January 9, 2023

Eva Marie Daniel passed from this life into her Savior’s arms on Monday, January 9, 2023 at the age of 92. Eva was born in Beaumont, TX, the only daughter of John Arthur and Marie Clementine Rogers. She attended and graduated from the Nederland Independent School System. She met and married Roy C. Daniel in 1952 and they were married for 70 years until his death in January of last year.

In addition to adopting and raising 3 children (Wade, Mary, and Joan), she taught Sunday School from age 22-85, sang in the church choir, sewed for the public and worked various jobs in retail prior to retirement: Sears, Gulf Supply Company, and Bridals and Formals.

She will be remembered as a woman of prayer and devotion to her Lord. She considered prayer as the power that empowers. As a prayer warrior she prayed for her family, she was a good listener and an advisor/counselor by turning to God’s word for direction and wisdom. Her approach to life was to “pray and wait.” Underlined in her Bible are the words from Joshua 1:9 “Be strong and courageous. Do not be terrified; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.”

Eva’s greatest joys were her family: children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and her church family. She enjoyed reading her Bible, great music and preaching, pretty sweaters and blouses and a bit of bling. She also loved to cook and was noted for her chicken and sausage gumbo. She lived life with a loving, joyful heart realizing that Jesus was her Savior and source of joy.

Eva is survived by her son, Wade Daniel and his wife, Becky of Bartlesville, OK: her daughter, Mary Stubblefield and her husband, Rich of Silsbee, TX. Grandaughters: Ashley Droigk and her husband, Mark of Bartlesville, OK; Amy Anderson and her husband, Nick; Stacey Vidrine and her husband, Chris; Carrie Mendez and her husband, Steve; great-grandchildren: Faith, Grace, Hope, Carly, and Ariel (all of Nederland, TX); and numerous other loving family members and friends. Eva is preceded in death by her husband, Roy, daughters Charlene and Christine Daniel who passed away shortly after birth, and Joan Paul (Mary’s twin sister).

Eva’s family will receive friends on Friday, from 10-11 a.m, at the Davis Family Funeral Home & Crematory – Walker Brown Chapel, 918-333-7665, 4201 Nowata Rd, Bartlesville. Services will follow at 11am in the Chapel. Interment will be at Memory Gardens of Jefferson County, Nederland, TX. Memorial Donations in remembrance of Eva can be made to the First Baptist Church of Bartlesville Music Memorial Fund. Send donations to: P. O. Box 1080, Bartlesville, OK 74005.

Services are under the direction of Carter Davis and the Davis Family Funeral Home & Crematory – Walker Brown Chapel. Online condolences and remembrances may be shared at www.DavisFamilyFuneralHome.com.
