Ricky Elvis Damron
September 18, 1959 ~ December 22, 2018

Ricky Elvis Damron age 59 of Lexington, passed away Saturday, Dec. 22, 2018 at Norman Regional Hospital after a brief illness.

Ricky was born September 18, 1959 in Iola, Kansas. He was the youngest of seven children.   His parents were Burt Eddie Damron and Goldie May (Sparks) Damron. Ricky grew up in the Washington State and Idaho area. He first married Melene Mowry and together they raised five children.

Ricky worked as a self-employed handyman and jack of all trades. Anything that had to do with construction, and small engines, he could build it or fix it. During his working career he traveled all across the U.S. to find work. While in the OKC area he met and later married Karen Fryrear from Tuttle, OK.   She had two children of her own and together they adopted two other children.   For many years they lived and worked in Georgia. For the past three years they have lived in Lexington, OK.

Ricky loved working with his hands and being outdoors. He enjoyed fishing and he was a fabulous cook. In his later years he became a fan of Netflix's. He will be remembered as a wonderful husband and a loving father.

He was preceded in death by:
Parents,
Granddaughter,          Leah Rich,
Daughter,                    Melisa Maness,
Three brothers and one sister,

He is survived by:
Wife,              Karen Damron of the home.
Eight children,           Kelsey Damron of Sulphur, OK,
                                    Jason Damron of Spokane, WA,
                                    Corey Damron of Billings, MT,
                                    Nicole Damron of Boise, ID,
                                    Tiffany Rich of Ardmore, OK,
                                    Sharla Wolters and husband Stephen of Alex, OK,
                                    Bobby Hernandez and wife Kim of Pauls Valley, OK,
                                    Steve Hernandez of Lexington, OK.
One brother,               Jack Damron of Idaho,
One sister,                  Donna Duff of Lexington, OK.
14 grandchildren, several great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends.

A Memorial service will be held at a later date.
