Marjorie Dale

Sept. 24, 1914 ~ Sept. 26, 2006

Marjorie passed away Tuesday, September 26, 2006 in San Luis Obispo. She was born in Norman, Oklahoma, September 24, 1914.

She attended schools in Norman; the University of Oklahoma and graduated from Kansas City University Dental School, as a dental hygienist.

In 1942 she married Major Douglas Dale and after WW II they made their home in California. They moved to Bakersfield in 1963. She has resided in San Luis Obispo for the last two years.

Marjorie and Doug loved to take cruises and travel in their motor home and made numerous friends on their journeys. She loved the Lord and was always involved in church activities.

Marjorie was a lifelong bridge player and belonged to many bridge groups.

Marjorie is preceded in death by her husband, Douglas; her sister, Frances; and her son-in-law, William Stone.

She is survived by her daughter, Diane of Cayucos; three grandsons, James and his fiance�, Tamara; Jeffrey and his wife, May of Zaragoza, Spain; and Army Capt. Michael Stone serving in Iraq. She has one very special great granddaughter, Marta from Zaragoza.

Visitation begins today Thursday, September 28th, from 4-8 p.m., at Hopson Anspach Family Mortuary, 620 Oregon St. A graveside service will be held on Friday, September 29th, at 10:00 a.m., at Greenlawn Memorial Park, 3700 River Blvd.

Memorial gifts may be made to Hospice Partners of the Central Coast, 277 South Street, Suite R, San Luis Obispo, CA 93401.
