Danny Joe Collins, a devoted father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend, passed away peacefully on February 18, 2026.
Danny was born on January 4, 1951, in Bristow, Oklahoma, and was lovingly raised by his grandparents, Nellie and John Collins. He graduated from Bristow High School in 1968. On February 23, 1974, Danny was united in marriage to Audrey Bartlett. From this union, two children were born, Gretchen and John.
Danny was a faithful member of Drumright First Free Will Baptist Church. He dedicated more than 30 years of his life to the retail grocery business and served as manager of Super H in Bristow for several years. He took great pride in his work and in serving his community.
He had a deep love for the outdoors and especially enjoyed driving a tractor and living the farm life. Danny loved collecting antiques, hunting rabbits, playing pranks on friends and family, and, most of all, spending time with those he loved. His sense of humor and love for family will be fondly remembered by all who knew him.
He is survived by his two children, Gretchen Reynolds (Will) of Mounds and John Collins of Bristow; three siblings, Kathy Costner of Mannford, Patty Slane (Chuck) of Claremore, and Edith Owens of Texas; his grandchildren, John Cole Reynolds (Brynlee) of Sand Springs, Sarah Lujan (Kobe) of Sapulpa, James Reynolds of Sapulpa, Anna Reynolds of Mounds, Jay Collins and Dakota Collins of Sapulpa and great-grandchildren Elena Reynolds, Maeryn Reynolds, and Roman Lujan; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his grandparents, Nellie and John Collins; five brothers, Ronnie Collins, Charlie “C.W.” Collins, K. Franklin Collins, Windell Collins, and Dewayne Collins; and one sister, Mary Nell Ailey.
Danny will be deeply missed and forever remembered by his family and friends.
