Mr. Thomas Dewey "Tom" Collingsworth, 65, of Enid, Oklahoma, departed this life on Sunday, April 28, 2019, after a sudden illness.
Tom entered this life on September 17, 1953, in Joplin, Missouri, one of five children born to Carl Dewey "Doc" and Mona Lee Collingsworth. He was raised in Southwest City, Missouri. He earned his bachelor's degree in accounting, receiving his CPA credentials in 1975. On April 17, 1976, he was united in marriage to Elizabeth "Betty" Kindell and to this union a son and daughter were born. He enjoyed cooking, traveling and woodworking.
His father, Doc Collingsworth, preceded him in death.
Tom is survived by his wife Betty Collingsworth, two children, Matthew Collingsworth and wife, Krystle; Sara Karber and husband, Chase, as well as two grandchildren, Bennett Collingsworth and Lily Karber. He is also survived by his mother, Mona Lee Collingsworth, two brothers; Jim Collingsworth and wife, Cindy, and Dave Collingsworth and wife, Kitty; two sisters, Lynn Coleman and husband, Buddy, and Janet Francisco and husband, Ronnie, and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held graveside on Saturday, May 4, 2019, at 10:00 a.m. at the Southwest City Cemetery in Southwest City, Missouri.
