Lindy Clough

Lindy Clough
February 13, 1928 ~ November 14, 2012

The funeral service for Lindy Clough will be at 2:00 pm Saturday, November 17, 2012 at the Anderson-Burris Funeral Home Chapel. Cremation arrangements are by Anderson-Burris Funeral Home.

Lindy was born west of Fairview, Oklahoma on February 13, 1928, to Anna Clough and the late Harry M. Clough, and passed away on Wednesday November 14, 2012, at his home in Enid.

Lindy graduated from Cleo Springs High School in 1945. He enlisted in the U.S. Army Signal Corp, and was on Kwajalein during the first two Atom Bomb tests in the Marshall Islands in July 1946. Then he went to Japan and worked in the communication center at General MacArthur�s headquarters. Lindy married Naomi Clancy on March 4, 1951 at Cleo Springs. They would have been married 61 years in March of this year but Naomi passed away in February. They lived in Kansas forty years before returning to Enid in 1992. He retired as a facilities engineer from the Boeing Company. Lindy was a member of the Lutheran Church in Mulvane, Kansas, a Past Master of the Mulvane Masonic Lodge, and a member of the Guthrie Valley Scottish Rite.

Lindy is survived by one son, Steven of Wichita, Kansas; one brother, Harry Clough of Yukon; three sisters, Hazel Rehm of Claremore, Pauline Weaver of Fairview, and Aleene Bradshaw of Grand Junction, Colorado; and a host of family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his wife Naomi; two daughters, Rhonda Sue, 7 months, and Debra Lyn, 4 years; his mother; and two brothers, Leonard and Loyal.

Memorials may be made thru the funeral home to Starkey, Inc., of Wichita, Kansas or Dr. Dexeus Oncology.
