Deanna Cline, 80 year old Woodward resident, passed away Tuesday, January 2, 2024 in Oklahoma City. A private family service will be held at a later date. Arrangements are under the direction of the Billings Funeral Home.
Deanna Mae (Highfill) Cline was born on October 8, 1943 in Mooreland, Oklahoma to Jack Alvin and Ruth Mae (Nelson) Highfill. She grew up in Mooreland and attended the one room school house, Sunny Slope at the Haskew Baptist Church, Mooreland Public Schools, Perry and Blair High Schools. Deanna graduated from Blair High School in Blair, Oklahoma in 1961. She attended Howard County Junior College in Big Spring, Texas and graduated from High Plains Technology Center Nursing Program as a Licensed Practical Nurse.
Deanna was united in marriage to William "Bill" Cline on May 26, 1989 at the home of Elmer and Jackie Miller, in Higgins, Texas. They made their first home in Mooreland before moving to Woodward. She worked for a number of years as the Secretary to the Superintendent of schools in Stanton, Texas. She worked at Mooreland Hospital in medical records and later as an EMT for Woodward County EMS. Deanna continued working in health care as an LPN until she retired to become the most devoted full-time grandmother.
She loved spending time with her family, especially her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband Bill Cline; one daughter Tye Kala Mitchell and husband Bob; three sons: Cecil Dale Jones, Mikial Gale Jones and Steven Ronald Cline; grandchildren: Joseph Newman, Arin Mitchell, Chesney Dean and husband Justin, Chandler Mitchell, Shelton Mitchell, Rebeka Jones, Stephanie Maher and husband Seth, Makala Cline, Mialee Cline, Venus Cain; great-grandchildren: Mason and Jacoby Newman, Maleah Mitchell, Hydee Dean, Beaux Denham, Callen Murray, Presley Murray, Savanah, Garrex, Maddox, Declan and Penelope Maher, Vallen and Vandon Cain; Great-great grandson Xander Newman; two brothers: Johnnie Highfill and wife Sandra, Tommie Highfill and wife Bonnie; one sister, Jackie Miller and husband Elmer; treasured nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
Deanna was preceded in death by her parents, Jack Alvin and Ruth Mae Highfill and one son William Allen Cline Jr.
